This online marketplace has altered its measurement guidelines for female and kids' apparel failing to inform all shoppers about the modification. Social Media Reaction Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed because of the remapping. Vinted explained the revised method more closely matches other platforms. The platform has recommended to examine their items and adjust the sizing manually when needed, which has left users frustrated. Sizing System Modifications Earlier, the measurements included one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the sizing has been recategorised - such as a large size was previously a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. Member Stories Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. A different member, located in Scotland, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as larger sizing 20-22. "If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she said. Required Changes Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the measurements for "each individual item". "Personally, this is quite irritating, because of my ongoing medical condition and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she said.
